It is approximately 18cm long, with fourteen larger links and fourteen smaller connecting links, one forming the box clasp, plus a curb-link safety chain. Stamped “800” with a dog’s head and other marks, XRF testing records the gold at 19.26ct, consistent with Portuguese 19.2ct gold.
