Chrysoprase was a popular gemstone in jewellery around the turn of the 20th century, valued for its distinctive apple-green colour. Dating to around 1900, this narrow rectangular shaped ring is tested as 14ct rose gold and has a chrysoprase cameo carved in relief, giving the small stone an unusual sculptural quality. The cameo is approximately 12mm x 7mm, the ring weighs 1.88g and is size N½.
