Weeda Copper Tasmania

Weeda copperware is well known in Tasmania for its distinctive hand-hammered finish and solid, practical construction. This candle holder is handmade from solid copper with brass fittings and shows the characteristic workmanship associated with Weeda, which produced copperware in Tasmania until the business closed in 1981. It is designed to hold candles approximately 2.3cm in diameter. A good example of locally made Tasmanian decorative metalwork.
