This silver plate teapot is made from Britannia metal (EPBM) and dates c.1880. It has a highly polished finish and weighs approximately 800g, giving it a pleasing, sturdy feel without being overly heavy.  A handsome Victorian household piece with the characteristic bright sheen that made EPBM so popular in the late 19th century.
