Banded Onyx Bookends

Banded onyx is a naturally layered variety of chalcedony quartz, valued for the distinctive bands and variations of colour that make each piece individual. These hand-carved bookends take the classic form of horse heads, with the natural banding of the stone adding depth and character to the carving. They are 18.5cm high and weigh approximately 1.8kg together, giving them enough substance to be practical as well as decorative.
