Satin Crystal by Josef Inwald c.1930

$275.00

Satin crystal rose vase by Josef Inwald for Barolac, Czechoslovakia, circa 1930. Standing 17.75cm high, this softly flared vase is made from pink satin (or frosted) Barolac glass—a type of opalescent glass known for its gentle translucence. The molded rose motif is beautifully detailed with hand-finished touches. Barolac glass, developed by Josef Inwald and later produced under the Barolac label, became known in the 1930s for its Art Deco elegance and distinctive use of frosted finishes and botanical designs. These pieces are now prized by collectors for their beauty and craftsmanship.
