Silver Plate Vesta c.1900
$125.00
Vesta cases were popular pocket accessories during the late Victorian and Edwardian periods, designed to carry matches safely and keep them dry. Dating to around 1900, this silver-plated example is 44mm x 31mm x 13.5mm thick and weighs 23g. The silver plating has worn thin in places, reflecting its age and use. An interesting little piece of everyday history from a time when carrying matches was commonplace.
