Sterling Fob Chain 1844

Victorian fob chains were originally worn with pocket watches, with the central fitting often used to suspend a fob, seal or other personal object. This sterling silver example is hallmarked 1844 and has graduated links, giving the chain a pleasing weight and proportion. A few additional links are attached at the centre, allowing another small treasure or charm to be worn alongside the fob. It is 41cm long and weighs a substantial 40.5g.
