Charles Horner’s Dorcas thimbles were an ingenious late Victorian design, combining a sterling silver outer shell with a steel lining for added strength and durability. These three collectable examples are available individually at $95 each. A: Dorcas No. 6, weighing 8.12g, 21mm high with a 16mm inside diameter. B: Dorcas No. 5, weighing 8.34g, 23.5mm high with a 17.5mm inside diameter. C: Dorcas No. 9, weighing 5.90g, 20mm high with a 15mm inside diameter.
